About the Project

Well-being woven into vocational education.

Well-being Toolbox for VET is an Erasmus+ Small-scale Partnership in Vocational Education and Training (KA210-VET). It responds to a growing mental health challenge across European VET, with a particular focus on migrant women.

Mental health challenges in VET

Research shows many VET learners experience anxiety, stress, emotional exhaustion, low self-esteem, social isolation and difficulties transitioning into employment. These challenges intensify during internships, workplace learning and major life transitions. While VET successfully develops technical competences, emotional well-being and psychosocial support are often not sufficiently integrated into everyday educational practice. Many VET educators and programme directors report lacking practical tools and methodologies to support learners facing emotional and social challenges.

Challenges faced by migrant women

The project focuses particularly on migrant women in vocational education. They often experience multiple barriers simultaneously: language difficulties, cultural adaptation, discrimination, reduced access to professional networks, social isolation, trauma experiences and challenges entering the labour market. The Toolbox is designed to support educators in meeting these layered needs with care and competence.

Project objectives

  • · Strengthen the capacity of VET professionals to support learner well-being.
  • · Improve inclusion and participation of migrant women in vocational education.
  • · Promote psychologically safe and supportive learning environments.

The Toolbox combines psychosocial support approaches with creative and participatory methods — including art-based activities, music-based approaches, movement exercises, reflection tools and community-building practices.

Expected impact

VET professionals gain accessible, evidence-based tools to embed well-being in everyday practice. Migrant women in VET experience greater inclusion, safer learning environments and stronger pathways into employment. Partner organisations build durable expertise in well-being-centred VET that can be shared across European networks.
